I packed away glassware we never used, extracted pots and pans that SHOULDN'T be used, and added some wire shelving to increase storage in random places.  I keep hoping that one day I'll magically create enough room for a crock pot, bread machine, and a super-fancy mixer.

I used photos of family members to make my silhouettes, and was lucky enough to find sticky-backed felt with a protective paper backing onto which I could draw the outlines. That's right.  The space between our front door and the glass security door gets hot enough to melt fake Christmas wreaths.  I am appalled and amused, and now wondering what would happen if I were to string bacon there on a sunny day.  

I am also ready to tackle the unique challenge of figuring out what I can safely decorate my front door with!  Any suggestions?

Easy yellow cake in a cup!



My miniatures group has been discussing microwave cake for a while now, but this is the first time I tried it.  You can use a microwave safe mug or a ramekin.  I used a bouillon bowl, because that's all I could find in the store.  It's kind of like a small soup bowl.  The cake ends up about two inches high in this bowl.

He wanted it padded and covered in navy blue canvas, with a big padded lid. I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark last night, and had a realization. They're action films with an archaeological veneer, not archaeological films with some action.  (you're thinking, well duh! aren't you?)
